An angry Ijaz Butt, Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board, parried journalists questions and went away saying that they are wasting his time.
At Lahore Airport, Butt got furious over harsh questions thrown at him by the journalists and reprimanded them saying that All of you have become selectors and you are just wasting my time. Replying to a question, Butt said that Muhammad Yousuf was sent for in London to make the teams performance better, however added that Yousuf decided not to play for being unfit.

HAMADAN: Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad survived a grenade attack on his visit to the western city of Hamadan, reports said.
A minibus carrying journalists accompanying President Ahmadinejad in his visit was hit by a grenade, a newspaper reported on its website.
Ahmadinejad was uninjured in the attack, the report said, without providing any other details of casualties.

The journalists continue to hold protests today against the resolution passed unanimously by the Punjab Assembly against media. A resolution in favour of media by PML-Q will be presented in Punjab Assembly today.
Punjab government has called a meeting to resolve this issue tomorrow in which journalists have been invited to participate. According to the sources, PML-N wants to pass a new resolution with mutual consent of the journalists; however if the journalists do not agree upon this, then PML-N will not disagree with PML-Q’s resolution. While on the other side, journalists vowed to continue their protests till the resolution is withdrawn and action is taken against all those who had prepared the resolution.

The black coats would join hands with the journalist community by holding a Black Day on July 12 across the country to condemn the passage of anti-media resolution.
The announcement was made by Secretary Supreme Court Bar Raja Zulqarnain during a press conference in Lahore. Raja said that black flags would be hoisted atop the bar associations while protest demonstrations would also be held.
He said that the politicians are employing mean tactics against media to bar it from exposing their real deeds. He assured the journalists that the legal community would stand by them ever.

Law Minister Babar Awan has termed the lawyers as the constitutional, judicial and democratic force of the country, and vowed to stand by the black coats at every step.
Addressing Lahore Bar Council on Monday in a defiant tone, he claimed that he marched with the lawyers bare foot and not on Prado. He asserted that he neither believed in the lawyers’ politics nor in grouping.
He said that ‘doctors have advised me not to travel but I am left with only two options: one to hide and the other is to serve the lawyers’, and claimed of doing the latter.
He deplored that besides lawyers, journalists are also the marginalized section of society. He announced a donation of Rs10.25million for Punjab Bar Council in the next fiscal budget.

INDIA NEWS: On Board PM’s Special Aircraft.The first State visit of US President Barack Obama to India could take place in August or October.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today said the dates were being finalised in either of these two months for the significant visit.
Singh was talking to journalists while returning from his eight-day visit to the US and Brazil.
However, the exact dates have not been finalised yet, he said.
Earlier, during his meeting with Obama in Washington on Sunday last, Singh told him that India was eagerly looking forward to his visit.
“We are greatly looking forward to this visit,” Singh told Obama.
The Prime Minister told Obama that he had “caught the imagination of millions around the world, including the people of India who were anxious to see him soon in our country.

At least four people died while several others injured as a suicide bomber detonated his payload in Civil Hospital Quetta today.
According to reports reaching here the injured include journalists and police personnel; firing also ensued the blast. Law enforcement agencies cordon off the area while the rescue efforts are underway.
