Are Bing users flocking to advertisers — or away from Yahoo?
Chitika looked through 32 million ad impressions across
its network of more than 50,000 sites during a week in July to get its findings.
Even though Bing and Yahoo occupy a smaller percentage of the search pie, enticing users who like advertising could be a boon. Advertisers are willing to pay a premium to post their products in locations more readily viewed by consumers. But brand friendly web searchers may also be fickle search users.
Considering the ad dollars Microsoft is investing in search, it makes sense that Bing would attract consumers susceptible to advertising. Since launching Bing this Spring, Microsoft has been rolling out a $100 million ad campaign to win users to the service. The search engine has made modest gains since then, but it makes sense that the users coming to Bing from a display ad elsewhere would be more susceptible to advertising on their search engine of choice.
Furthermore, Bing and Yahoo might simply be swapping users, which could be a bad thing for both.
Microsoft has an 8.4% share of the online search market, compared to Yahoo’s almost 20% and Google’s 65%. Microsoft’s current Bing campaign works plays up
the problems with the current methods of search online, implying that Google isn’t the only company working to improve search.
But according to the Washington Post, the share gains that Bing has made of late have come not at Google’s expense but Yahoo’s. Bing made a modest 0.4% gain in search query volume to 8.4% in June according to ComScore. But while Google’s marketshare remained steady at 65%, Yahoo’s dropped 0.5% to 19.6% from May.
The fact that Google’s dominance has remained steady in that time could mean the overlap between Yahoo search and Bing is simply a subset of users who click more indiscriminately — and will continue to do so.
There has been talk lately that Yahoo and Microsoft may join forces on search to compete with Google as soon as this week. Pooling their energies, advertising and otherwise, could be a large boon in competing with Google. As long as they can find some Googlers who are susceptible to advertising as wel.

Selling short means you sell the stock at the current price of 36 and have to buy it back later. Assuming you have to buy it back at 62 then you paid 62 dollars to get 36 dollars back. You lost 26 bucks a share.

You don't Google it.
What you do is either: (1) contact your Realtor, or (2) contact the designated settlement company. If you don't know the title company, then you go with (1), contact your Realtor.

Shares capital gains calculator will not be available separately. You have to prepare it yourself.
It is very simple calculation.
For short term capital gains (Sold with in 1 year)
Total all sales amount with brokers commission and ST, total all purchase amount with brokers commission and STT.
Deduct the purchase total amount in sales total amount. The result is your short term capital gains. Calculate tax The result is the tax to be paid. If it is a loss then the loss has to be carried forward to next year.
The long term capital gains also has to calculated like short term gains. But there is no tax on this gains. It is tax free (Long term).

It's probably not the happy ending that either company were hoping for after the aborted merger talks, but as both lag significantly behind Google in the search market share, joining forces may help both companies to grasp a bigger share of the market and more advertising revenue.
Don't forget that Yahoo has already been to bed with Google and got chucked out. The biggest player left is Microsoft, so joining the party with them seems to be a lifesaver for Yahoo, although the value of the shares seem to indicate that the majority of shareholders don't agree.
I don't think that constant Google users will even try Bing, so Yahoo and MS must be hoping and planning to attract the users of the many other obscure and less utilised search engines on the WWW in increase their market share and advertising profit.

<<How can that be if God?>>
It can be, because that's what the evidence indicates, and that evidence happens to be part of nature and, if you like, part of the creation. If you don't like it, then complain to the Manufacturer of that evidence and the rest of the universe. Inform your deity that you've found fault with the way They've made the world, and ask for it to be corrected in line with your preferences.
<<How should I tell him tactfully…>>
You shouldn't.
By the way, next time you're studying this archaeology stuff, ask your professor why they're teaching the wrong subject. Strangely, rather than lecturing on archaeology, they're giving classes in palaeontology. I'm surprised nobody noticed. That indicates a deficient approach by both your professor and the obviously not very diligent students.
Update
<<thanks for being kind and tactuful in your answer, unlike KtDykes>>
Science isn't about "being kind and tactuful". Ask your archaeology professor during their next lecture on palaeontology.
Update 2
<<Even an archeology professor can refer to a paleontological fact, if it helps him clarify certain points.>>
Many thanks for stating the patently obvious. However, it would be a very incompetent archeology professor who thought they could clarify archeological matters with reference to a particular genus of Upper Cretaceous theropod. I've heard of incompetent archeology professors, as it happens, but not one who's yet managed to plummet quite that low.
More relevant is the detail that the poster seemed to think paleontology is somehow part of archeology. That's consistent with someone falsely claiming to having somehow received instruction from a professor.
Update 3
<<I really do not see why the poor professor has incurred your displeasure>>
The professor hasn't, seeing as the poster doesn't have an archeology professor. This is because the poster hasn't studied archeology. The professor referred to doesn't exist.
<<"More relevant is the detail that the poster seemed to think paleontology is somehow part of archeology"
How can someone draw such a conclusion is beyond comprehension. This is what is known as jumping to confusion.>>
No. It's known as noticing the poster can't differentiate between archeology and paleontology and, therefore, they haven't studied either. Whether that's beyond your comprehension is something I've no opinion of.
<<I have heard people say many things to justify their mistakes, but this is definitely a strong contender for the best example.>>
If you wish to believe this individual has an archeology professor, despite their lack of knowledge, then you're welcome to make that mistake. It could be a contender for the best example.
PS: The word you were trying for is "theropod".

Not sure just how you doyour calculations and reach your conclusions. Depending on how much profit is involved in any given item, and how competitive the market is, they could gain even higher profit than that, or much less or even lose.
Are you familiar with the term price elasticity? It basically means how much will sales increase or decrease if the price is lowered or raised. If this number could be accurately calculated (which it can't except by making some assumptions) then businesses could set prices to make optimal profits.
