UK, Sir Tim team up to free UK government data
That’s one of the reasons data.gov.uk is getting some rave reviews. Marshall Kirkpatrick of ReadWriteWeb doesn’t mince words; he says it “puts data.gov to shame“.
A primary goal of data.gov is to get third party developers involved in using the government’s data to create “wonderful things out of public data“. Those wonderful things can even be commercial in nature.
As Tim Berners-Lee and collaborator Nigel Shadbolt stated in The Guardian today:
It’s re-use of data in new – and often unexpected – ways that creates both social value and opportunities for economic growth. It’s not our job to say where data might be useful; it’s our job to unleash it and allow businesses and independent developers to build innovative services which they can then deliver to users. That’s the story of technology through the years – and the way the World Wide Web itself has grown over the last twenty years.
Eventually, Berners-Lee and Shadbolt want to make data.gov.uk part of “business as usual” for government bodies. That would include regular updates of datasets and the use of Linked Data standards that will make it easier to combine different datasets in interesting ways.
That’s an ambitious goal. but the beta of data.gov.uk looks to be a good start and with the inventor of the internet at the helm, data.gov.uk just might be the start of something really good.

Global warming is caused by many different things and the internet has been around since the 60's….Al gore was born in 1948 so unless if a teenage Al Gore invented it then you obviously don't know what you are talking about.

Typically, the first-party is the developer of the hardware, for example Nintendo. You, the consumer, are the second-party. Developers who aren't part of the company that makes the hardware are the third-party.
Wii Sports is a first-party developed game, Nintendo, for their own system. Metal Slug Anthology is a third-party developed game, SNK Playmore for Nintendo's Wii.
Five years ago, Sega was a first-party, developing for their own Dreamcast. Now, out of the hardware business, Sega is a third-party developer for other systems.

We don't. We insist that human beings are more important than profits. You'd think the 'pro-lifers' would wholeheartedly agree with this.

I totally agree! I don't get it – especially these celebrities that have their own charities and stuff – don't they realize there are hundreds, if not thousands, of charities out there already that need and want help?
There are so many charities out there who could use help! Surely there are some that support your cause!

I grew up in Salt Lake and moved to Seattle. I feel your pain. At least I felt it when I lived back there!
Have you read Terry Tempest Williams? I was shocked by "Refuge". There is a wealth of beauty and wildlife that I had never seen in the SL Valley. In my trips back there I've been able to see the place with new eyes.
As for the rest, what can I say? Park City.
It's hard to know if downtown SLC will ever return. You know the multi block development that killed it is funded by the LDS church? It's up to 3 billion dollars and estimates go to 8 billion. These are such tough times for commercial real estate that they may never see the money back.
I understand seasonal affective disorder all too well, but there must be a better compromise than yours.

Honestly, he is what he is. My best friend spends most of his time sitting on his couch, drinking, smoking, getting high and watching tv. He's fun to hang out with. But also, he's not going to do things if they require him to work and it won't be fun. You're happier when you just accept people for who they are.

Statement or question—–Both of these amendments have been convoluted by actions and rulings of the SCOTUS that go far afield from the original intent of the Amendments that they are not in good working order.

You need to set up a meeting with them so they can evaluate your idea, and discuss royalties and everything else…
It'd be pretty hard without having some connection to the company or knowing someone to put in the good word for you… Otherwise basicly you'd just keep calling until you could finally get someone to set up an interview.
And as long as that took without any inside help, the game might seem old and generic.
